Love Does Not Envy
The "Green-Eyed
Monster" of envy has no part in the love
of God.
Envy is
jealousy with fangs. Jealousy is defined
as a hostile attitude or feeling against
someone due to rivalry, or suspected
disloyalty. Envy results when
jealousy has taken deep roots within.
It becomes a resentment of
someone else for having or enjoying
something we want. The resentment
can occur over something tangible
like money, clothes, or a job. It can
also be
over something intangible like ability,
relationships, education, or prestige.
Envy can be overcome when we appreciate
the gifts, abilities, talents, or
possessions that God has given to
others.
We can celebrate and encourage others as
they seek to be their best, while
knowing that we can also continually
grow and become better.
There is no
reason to fear that God will reach a
blessing limit. You not only have
God's promise that all of our
needs
will be supplied, but you also have the
assurance that if you delight yourself
in the Lord, He will give you the
desires of your heart. Ladies, don't
hate. Appreciate.
